This essay was very powerful. He dealt with a tough subject, death. It's very to talk about death in the military while being patriotic. He obviously had tremendous respect for this young Sergeant along with all he gave. I do believe that American citizens forget that we do have fellow Americans in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran battling to keep peace in the U.S.
I believe that the power of mystery drives us in everything we do. It drives artists to mold an ordinary piece of paper or flat surface into expression of color and contrast. It drives astronauts to reach for the stars and defy limitations that were thought to never be broken. It drives an ordinary man with a dream to start his own business. The power of mystery has and always will drive huumans to defy what is set for us and conquer the unknown.
I believe that even close to death, joy can be found. My family has had a few deaths through the years and even though they had accepted death or not it was still tough. One that hit my entire family the hardest was my uncle rob.
