1. The author's main thesis is mainly poking fun at imperfections, faults, and wrongs.
2. "having turned my thoughts for many years upon this important subject, and maturely weighed the several schemes of other projectors" "that a young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricassee or a ragout. My Narrative
My narrative is ok but it needs more dialog and a bit more organization thorughout the entire piece. Gabe helped work on my grammar and keeping my tenses in the past. What my narrative also needed was to add a couple key points that will keep readers interested in my narrative.
Gabe's Narrative
Gabe had a very good looking narrative. It was well put together and had a couple very interesting point throughout the story. What Gabe needed to work on is to keep his grammar in check while also keeping his tenses the same. Gabe's narrative also had a lot of very good details into what he is feeling, seeing, or hearing while also having great dialog.

Why I want a wife response
1. The thesis of the story is not clear in the story but I believe that it is that we all want a person in our lives that matches up to the things listed in the story but that person doesn't exsist.
2. The author uses repetition to emphisize that the common stereotype of a wife is all the things that is listed.
3.I think Brady does not want the spouse listed in the story because #1 that person deosnt exsist and #2 there would be no emotional relation to the other.
4. What Brady is trying to get through to the reader is that the spouse in the story doesn't exsist and to expect that from either side is a foolish request in itself.
5.
Dear Brady,
I throughly enjoyed your satire of the common sterotype of a wife. The overal impossiblitity of what is asked from a wife is quite evident in your writings. A marriage should not be all about one party of the relationship but have a mutual respect for the wife and husband. Even though everyone knows that one person who is going to take care of every one of your needs is but a fantasy, it is a rather interesting and comical idea to play around with in your head. I really enojyed your satire on everyday life.

What happened in the
gym with the convicts and hearing their stories, their struggles with alcohol, drugs,
and sex really got to me. To hear how much pain they went through to learn their
lesson on how bad drugs can affect their lives was touching. Looking through y
high school career I feel proud that I haven’t experimented with drugs. What
impacted me the most was the 19 year old. How young and close to my own age is
what really impacted me to keep on with my straight arrow life and really
believe in what I’m not doing even though other things might be the “cool thing”
to do. This is really a lie because most of the people I know don’t do drugs,
which is something I am also proud of. I pride myself in surrounding myself
with people who believe the same things as I do. It all the moods of that
mourning one thing I could have dealt without was the interpretive dance. The
dance was a little too not serious in the fact that they had to tell everyone
not to laugh for it. I feel as if the we had more time to hear all of the
stories from all the convicts would have been more emotional. But listening to
how bad jail is with all the violence and the gangs really hit a note with a
lot of people.

There once lived a young girl, who was known as very scrawny and ugly. She lived with 7 friends who went out and worked all day to support the house and all 8 inhabitants. All day the men would leave for work in the local mine and the girl would stay at home to clean, wash the dishes, and make dinner for the men for when they came home. This arrangement worked for several years, until 2008 and the local mine shut down because of the recession and all the people who lived in the house were forced to go else where for money and to live because the mortgage was too high for a meager part time income. The ugly girl was forced out of the house and had to live with her mean grandmother who tried to kill her with rotten apples. Over the next few years the ugly girl became very beautiful and very smart. She left for college and received a master’s degree political science and macro economy. The now beautiful girl worked as she could up the political system until she won the presidential nomination for the Republicans. Her platform was to lower was to fix the economy, get the U.S.A. out of the recession, count down teen pregnancy and obesity so shows like 16 and pregnant and biggest loser weren’t as prevalent. However to win the Presidential election she would need to beat the big bad wolf who huffed and puffed and blew down all of her debate responses. It was just days away from the final election and the debates were getting larger. At the last debate it was asked “why should you become president?” The beautiful girl explained that she wanted to be president so she could have the power to different solution to the problems that have plagued our lands for years. The entire audience was so taken back by how innocent and real the girls answer was that it was clear she had won this debate which would make election a close one. On the night of the election the votes seemed to go up equally for both sides, it wasn’t until the end in which it was a complete tie. However the number of voters was an odd number therefore this was impossible. Going down the call lists looking for anyone who didn’t come into vote, at the very bottom of the list was one voter that didn’t vote. As he came in to the voting center he was attacked by fairy reporters asking which side he was going to vote for. The man walked into the ballot box and in a matter of seconds his single vote was taken to the stage where both parties standing with Ryan Seacrest. The single piece of paper was handed to Mr. Seacrest, he opens it, studies it for a few seconds and goes to speak into the mic. “Is America ready for the winner of the Presidential and winner of American id……I mean presidency?”. “ the winner is…… ME”. Both parties stunned as the results post on the screen and as a write in Ryan Seacrest won as a write vote. Ryan put into affect policies that made the lands of Ryanland the perfect Eutopia.

James Thurber Satire
One of the stories i liked the most was The Little Girl and The Wolf. I liked this story because it was a funny spin off of little red riding hood and had a modern twist to the entire story. The other story I liked the most was The Bear. I liked The Bear because it was ironic in the sense that gulooting made him make the same mistakes as being drunk. What Surprised me about all the stories was how modern the stories sounded but still had the elements of a fable. Thurber was making fun of modern day political issues. Like in The Little Girl and The Wolf using a well known story and ending with over use of guns.
